I have downloaded and installed the legacy software NI say it needs to operate midi with OS 10.12 but again I can't get the foot switch to change anything.Your privacy is important to Yamaha Guitar Group, Inc. The FC-300 manual assumes a huge degree of midi familiarity and knowledge so I find myself gazing at it stumped! I also have a Native Instruments Rig Control 3 pedal that I used to use with Guitar Rig 5 which I read could be used with MainStage rather than a sophisticated bit of gear like the Roland. In the manual it says use the Parameter buttons to select SYS: BNK Chg Mode but I can't get that message to appear in any mode - Standard, Control, System or Patch. The 'auto assign' process doesn't seem to work either but that is probably because I can't work out what I need to do on the FC-300. MainStage is telling me that it identifies the number and source of the Midi inputs but I cannot work out the specific information I need to enter into assignments and mapping. I have tried using alternatively a Roland UA-25EX and an M-AUDIO Midisport 1*1 but with no success. I am totally new to midi (except for Guitar Rig with Rig Kntrol, which is simplicity itself) and need taking through the process in baby steps, including how to use a digital interface to get the Mac and the pedal to talk to each other. My MacBook is a late 2011 edition running OS 10.12.4 with 8GB memory. I am trying, without success, to use MainStage 3 on my Mac Powerbook with a Roland FC-300 midi foot controller to do the simplest task: to move up and down between my preset patches in a concert. ![]()
